I am told that capacitors can become non-functional with age. They can also be "fryed" by the application of too much power. I am searching for a schematic of an Altec Lansing model # N1285-8B passive crossover. This particular crossover was the last of a generation produced in the early 1980's. The first was the model # N8500-8A. Next came the model # N1285-8A which was a 500/800/1200hz piece. The final was supposed to be a vast improvement..the model # N1285-8B. I've emailed the current Altec Lansing with a request for a schematic, however no reply so far. I thought that maybe someone here may know something about this subject.
    Thank you. forums

I have one 1285-B that I can open up but I don?t have an inductance bridge so I can only check the caps. Let me know if that will help
